Mr. D’Addario is a strategic advisor and former board member of BaseCap Analytics, a software company specializing in data quality and accuracy. His philanthropic interests include St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and animal welfare.

Michael Sheldrick is a policy entrepreneur, author and a driving force behind the efforts of Global Citizen to end extreme poverty and build climate resilience. As a Co-Founder and Chief Policy, Impact, and Government Affairs Officer, he has mobilized over $43 billion in support for healthcare, education and climate from governments, businesses, and foundations.

 

Michael is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs, and the author of the Amazon best-selling book, From Ideas to Impact: A Playbook for Influencing and Implementing Change in a Divided World  (Wiley: 2024; paperback edition released November 2025).

Charu Adesnik

Charu Adesnik is the Executive Director of the Cisco Foundation, and Director of Social Impact Investments at Cisco. In this capacity, she oversees the mission, vision, strategy, programs, and governance of the Foundation. More recently, she is leading Cisco’s new 40 Communities place-based initiative. Within Cisco’s Social Impact and Inclusion Office, Charu also leads Cisco's strategic investments of cash, donations of Cisco technology, and advisory services to support non-profit organizations targeting under-served communities in areas of Crisis Response, Education, Economic Empowerment, and Climate Resilience.

Charu is a seasoned leader with more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of charitable foundations, Corporate Responsibility/Purpose strategies and related interventions, employee giving and volunteering, impact evaluation, operational management, team development, and leading change. She has designed, executed and evaluated the impact of global initiatives across multiple disciplines, including financial services, economic empowerment, critical human needs, disaster response, education, institutional capacity building, gender initiatives, and transparency and governance – with an emphasis on vulnerable and underserved population groups.
